The City of St. Pete Beach has two fire stations servicing our 6 mile long island. Our 32 firefighter/ EMTs and administrators provide fire protection and medical emergency response for over 7,000 properties and about 15,000 residents and visitors throughout the city. The department also provides regular maintenance and testing of fire fighting equipment and apparatuses, and conducts inspections of buildings to ensure safety standards are maintained. In addition, public awareness and public education programs are offered through the Fire Department.

Structure:
The Fire Department's orgranizational structure allows for authority to be delegated to ranking members for efficiency in carrying out the department's goals and objectives. The Department is led by Fire Chief Fred Golliner. Operations Commander Tom Malone is second in command in the department. Fire Marshal Ernie Hand ensures fire safety compliance throughout the city.
