About Building Services

The Building Services Division of the Community Development Department is responsible for ensuring that all new construction in the city meets the minimum standards of the applicable building codes for the health and safety of the citizens of St. Pete Beach and the general public. Application of building code standards also promotes the economic well being of the community and responds to conservation and environmental concerns.

The division works to achieve an excellent level of public service in timeliness, courtesy and quality. The links on the left side of this page provide access to answers for many frequently asked questions. Property files for all properties in the city are located in our office and are available for review during normal business hours - 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
