Phone Survey
A private company is currently conducting a phone survey regarding redevelopment in our community. This phone survey was not commissioned or paid for by the city. The city is in no way affiliated with this phone survey.

FY2008 Budget
Recent action by the State Legislature mandated that local governments reduce their property tax revenues in the coming year.  The actual amount required to be reduced is based upon increases in tax revenues received over the past several years.  In St. Pete Beach the amount of reduction required is 9% of the assessed value for last fiscal year.  The result is a reduction in millage to 2.3764 (currently 2.6), or approximately $615,000. Sister Citiess
In 1999, the City of St. Pete Beach teamed up with the City of Sandown, on the Isle of Wight, Great Britain for a cultural endeavour between the people of the two cities. The agreement, sign in April 1999, pledges to deepen friendship and mutual understanding between the two cities through educational, cultural and commercial exchanges, with the goal of strengthening the ties of friendship between Great Britain and America. Support the Troops
The City of St. Pete Beach has joined forces with seven other barrier island cities to gather much needed items for our troops serving overseas. The city is taking up collections for everything from food to toiletries to stationary. A donation bin is now set up in the lobby of City Hall for your donations. City Communication Information

The Office of Public Information for the City of St. Pete Beach oversees all communication dispersed to St. Pete Beach residents. Some of the on-going communications include:

  • Quarterly 8-page Newsletter, Our Town, mailed out to all residents
  • Weekly Electronic Newsletter, St. Pete Beach eNews, dispersed to email recipients
  • Monthly Community Development Newsletter, Your Community in Action, dispersed to email recipients
  • SPB-TV, Channel 15
  • City of St. Pete Beach Hurricane Awareness campaign
  • Youth Program Promotion campaign
  • Design and distribution of various brochures, postcards, and workshop notices
  • Press releases composed and distributed as needed.
  • Maintenance of the city's website.
