2004 Street Condition Inventory

During the beginning of 2003, the Public Works Department initiated an effort to develop and maintain a condition-rating inventory of city streets. This inventory will assist staff in making recommendations on maintenance and improvements to the street system. This year's report represents the second complete inventory.

The method used in the development of the street inventory is derived from a publication of the Asphalt Institute and is based on visual criteria. The rating system establishes a maximum value of 100 for a newly constructed street. As the street ages and deteriorates, the condition rating decreases. We have grouped the ratings into the following categories.
