Banner
Applications
To
assist in the request to hang a banner on one or all of the City’s
three available locations (see below), the City has created this
information sheet to assist you with the application process.
This information sheet is for your benefit only. This
sheet does not need to be submitted with the application sheet, but
should prove helpful in the planning of your banner display.
- Select
the first and last days you would like the banner(s) to be
hung.
The
maximum length of time the banner will be allowed to be displayed
is 3 weeks. The
City will make every attempt to accommodate the dates requested,
however, scheduling problems, weather conditions, staff scheduling
and other pressures may force the Public Works Dept to amend dates
as needed.
- Select the location(s) where the banner(s) are to
be hung.

- Contact
the City of St. Pete Beach’s Public
Works Department at 727-363-9243. Connie Kest, will
be able to answer questions, discuss dates available
and to coordinate the application process.

the State of Florida Dept of Transportation’s
(FDOT) Application
for Banner and related documents
below. FDOT rules are here.
If you need more information, please contact FDOT's Pinellas
County Maintenance Office (Normand Lataille) at 727-570-5101.
- Sketch
or drawing of the banner(s) which must be drawn to scale,
with dimensions
- Entire
message that will appear on the banner
- Color
of the banner
- Sketch
of the specific location(s) of the banner(s) (Provided
by City)
- Include
the height, location of supports and proximity to utility
poles
- Sketches,
photographs, or specific descriptions of the method to be
used to affix the banner(s) to the support structure(s). (Provided
by City)
- Load
rating analysis (or photocopy of previously submitted analysis)
bearing the seal of a professional engineer. (Provided
by City)
- Submit
the FDOT application and supporting documents to to Connie
Kest no later than 6 weeks before the date the banner is
to be hung. Should you have any further questions or assistance,
please contact her at 727-363-9243. You will also have to
pay the installation fee of $184.00 per site where the banner(s)
will be located.
- The
City will contact you when we receive the application back
from FDOT with the approval.
Please note:
- The
color of your banner may not be red or green.
- The application fee includes the costs of personnel, equipment
and administrative costs related to the installation and removal
of the banner.
- The City will pick up the application from FDOT and will notify
you when ready.
- Do
not wait for permit approval before ordering your banner
