Adopt-a-Block Program
The adoption of a city block involves the resident, or group of residents, to sign an agreement with the city and Keep Pinellas Beautiful promising to remove litter from the adopted block on a bi-weekly or greater basis. Adoptees will then record their litter control efforts and submit quarterly reports for a period of one year. The Benefits The City of St. Pete Beach will recognize the extrraordinary efforts of the adoptees by listing their names and the blocks that they have adopted on the Public Works website. Recognition will also be made on Channel 15 (the city's public access TV channel).
Adoptees may choose to incorporate their litter control activities with their daily walks, pet walking chores, visiting friends or as a group project. Ideally, the adopted block will be either the block on which the resident lives or a block that is adjacent to the resident's property.
