Adopt a Beach/Coastal Clean-up

We would like to thank all of our past and present volunteers for their efforts in keeping our beaches beautiful!

Got sand in your shoes and a soft spot in your heart? Here’s the perfect volunteer job for you! Commit to take care of a specific stretch of our beach or coastal mangrove areas for one year. Visit your assigned area at least every other month, and pick up and bag any trash you find there.

Adopt a Beach can be a fun community service project for individuals, families, groups and organizations. The Eta Nu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa from St. Petersburg College has been tidying our shore since 1998.

If the “one year” part sounds like too much commitment, then just come out for the next “one morning” Coastal Cleanup held twice a year, usually the third Saturday of March and September.
