The City has Contracted with Asphalt Paving Systems to re-surface selected streets throughout the City. Phase I work to mill out the old asphalt and lay down new asphalt will start on September 16. Work is expected to begin in the south and work north. Completion is expected by the 26th weather permitting. Phase II work is applying a surface restoration coating to other streets throughout the City and that work is expected to begin in early November. A separate Public Information Release will be sent out detailing that work. Streets scheduled for a coating will be crack sealed in Phase I. The time delay between crack sealing and surface restoration is required to give the crack sealing material time to cure. Phase II work is expected to be complete by early December.
Hurricane season begins on June 1st and will end on November 30th. We've put together information & resources so you can be prepared.
