City Clerk provides a variety of services for the City Commission, city staff and, most importantly, our citizens.
City Manager is the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the overall daily operations of the City. Human Resources is division of the City Manager's Department.
Community Development consists of four divisions: Building Division, Code Enforcement Division, Planning Division and Zoning Division.
Finance Department coordinates accounts payable, cash disbursements, payroll disbursements,utility billing, asset tracking and treasury management.
Fire Department firefighters, EMTs and administrators provide fire protection and medical emergency response for over 7,000 properties and 15,000 residents.
Information Technology oversees the technological needs of city employees housed in 10 different city buildings.
Police Department law enforcement services are provided by the Pinellas County Sheriff who are dedicated to assuring the involvement of the community and well-being of St. Pete Beach, while providing the highest standards of law enforcement services. Public Library located at 365 73rd Avenue was founded in 1951 as the Long Key Library by the St. Petersburg Beach Community Club. It became a municipal library when the City of St. Pete Beach was incorporated in 1957.
Public Services responsible for reclaimed water service; wastewater service; stormwater drainage; environmental programs; beach maintenance; facilities management; solid waste; parks; recreation - community center/aquatics/don vista; and the maintenance, design and planning for roads, bridges, sidewalks, street signs, pavement markings and traffic lights.
Recreation Department oversees the operation of the Community Center Complex which includes the Family Aquatic Center’s Junior-Olympic size heated swimming pool, a playground and covered pavilion in Horan Park, and all of the classrooms and meeting spaces. The community’s use of city-owned facilities is also coordinated through this office. Year-round activities, classes and programs are offered for families, children and adults of all ages.
