Application for Local Historic DesignationThe application for Local Historic Designation has been made as simple as possible to expedite the review and designation process. On the forms, fill out as much information on the property, structure and site as you can. You should include any supporting historical information or data as you may have in the area labeled “Significance”, and you may attach pages as required. If you are unclear about the information required in this application, you may contact the Planning Division at City Hall at 363-9266 or come to a meeting of the Historic Preservation Board. Additional information and assistance is available at the Gulf Beaches Historical Museum on 10th Street. Buildings or sites may be considered historically significant by its social history as well as by its architecture. Applications for Local Historic Designation must be submitted to the Planning Division at least three weeks prior to a scheduled Board meeting. Call for details.
