The City of St. Pete Beach Fire Department responds to requests for service from two fire stations strategically located along our five mile barrier island community. The Department is led by
ensuring Fire Safety Compliance throughout the city.
The Fire Department operates one Advanced Life Support (ALS) Rescue and one Basic Life Support (BLS) 80’ Ladder Truck from Station 23 located at the northern part of the city.
The Fire Department operates one ALS Engine from Station 22 located at the southern part of the city.
Our Officers, Firefighters-Paramedics, Firefighters-EMTs and Administrators provide Medical Emergency Response for approximately 10,000 residents and visitors. Fire Protection for over 7,000 properties is also given.
Fire personnel attend extensive Fire Service Training throughout the year by participation in the Mid-County Training Group, continuing EMS Training from St. Petersburg College and in-house training lead by our Officers. The Fire Department's organizational structure allows for authority to be delegated to ranking members for efficiency in carrying out goals and objectives.
Our Fire Crews conduct inspections of buildings, Tactical Survey Reviews of businesses and Hydrant & Hose Testing to ensure safety standards are maintained. Additionally, Public Awareness Education Programs for Emergency Management, Fire & Safety Prevention are offered through the Fire Marshal’s office.
