  • Please include all necessary documents applicable to your Building Permit type, such as: survey, elevation certificate, Florida product approvals, etc.
  • PDF For Large Format Plans (25mb) - Hard copy plans are still required, please contact our office for instructions.

Online Permit Portal

Citizens and Contractors can use this system to track the status of applications from the convenience of their home or office. If you wish to search Building and Planning applications or request an inspection, use the appropriate Permitting link below. Please Note:  Next day Inspections must be scheduled prior to 3:30 p.m.

  • An inspection should not be requested unless all work to be inspected is completed. You may cancel your inspection before 9am on the day of inspection by calling 727-363-9244 or 727-367-2735.  If the inspector is called to inspect incomplete work and has to return later, a reinspection fee will be charged.
  • Be sure to have the yellow permit placard and the approved set of plans, specs and survey available in a conspicuous place for the inspector.

Expect a call about Building Permits. The City of St. Pete Beach is asking area contractors, engineering firms and property owners to help it restore data that was overwritten during a recent data security incident involving the City’s computer servers. Property owners, contractors and engineering firms can expect calls beginning this week requesting copies of applications for building permits, architectural designs and plans, as well as other materials, for buildings within the city limits. Learn more >
