The City Manager is the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the overall daily operations of the City and for the delivery of high quality services through the combined efforts of the Community Development, City Clerk, Police, Fire, Public Services, Finance, and Information Technology Departments.  He is responsible for preparing and presenting the annual operating budget, the Capital Improvement Plan and any other reports requested by the City Commission.

The City Manager has an "open door" policy with the public and City employees to maintain a good working relationship. Within the department are two staff members who assist the manager in providing professional leadership and sound administrative direction to ensure the continued progress of the community.

The City Managers offices are located on the second floor of City Hall on Corey Avenue and are open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

City Manager - Serves as chief executive and chief operating officer of the city; ensures the efficient and effective management and supervsion of the city's affairs in accordance with policies adopted by the City Commission, the City Charter and applicable state law and/or municipal ordinances.

Executive Assistant - Assist the City Manager in the day to day functions of the City Manager's office.

Human Resources Administrator - Maintains personnel files, assists city department directors with their personnel needs, recommends and implements peronnel practices and policies, develops training programs, administers the benefits program, ensures compliance with local, state and federal labor laws and actively encourages diversity in all city departments.

Risk Management - Provides and promotes effective programs to protect all city assets from loss or damage, including both property and people.
